Fujifilm Finepix E900 Review

Fujifilm Finepix E900A 9 megapixel camera for £199 from a major manufacturer - surely there must be some mistake? The Fujifilm Finepix E900 is the model in question, offering 9 megapixels, a 4x zoom lens, 2 inch LCD screen and optical viewfinder. Plus the E900 offers a full range of creative shooting modes, manual focus and RAW format for the more discerning photographer. Is the Fujifilm Finepix E900 too cheap to be any good, or is this the bargain of the year? Read our latest review to find out.

  1. We currently use the E900 and rate it ***** too! (Although would query your comments re low CA.)
In the 2nd photo, "Camera On", you should have popped up the flash to show people exactly where it is. Or maybe in front iso view?

Excellent review(s) - keep it up!

  3. Excellent information, first class site. Very helpful. I have had a Fuji Finepix 4.0 since 2001 - great camera - I now want to update - Would like to stay with Fuji - can't decide between E900 or F11/V10? Any suggestions?

    Many thanks,

    Steve

  4. 5 stars - low chromatic aberration ? Can't agree - I tried this camera and was appalled at the ridiculous high CA and feeble levels of sharpness - just check the grass / leaves on your sample shots - replaced with featureless mush ! I sent mine back for a full refund.

For god's sake Fuji put a decent lens on this camera or everythings pointless ( literally ).

3 stars at the most !!!!

  5. I'm also surprised at your high rating for the camera's image quality, given the colour fringing visible on some of the sample pics. Surely it's much worse than (say) the Panasonic FX01 or Canon S80?

A pity, because the camera looks like it does everything else pretty well.

  6. I wonder if this as been written by an American who is programmed with paranoia and fear, lest a law suit follows as a result of being daring with the pen (or keyboard). My pet cat could have written a proper review.

All this so called review does is elaborate slightly on the manufacturers spec'. It only informs the potential customer what the camera is and what it may be capable of.

A review should in my opinion take the camera on a bit of a test drive so one can objectively review the spec', handling, capability, performance and quality of such a camera.

A camera like this is worthy of some objective praise and critism, not just some verbatum from the package content list.

So what do you want..... my pet cat to do it?

  8. Got this camera with inheritence money from my late nan, bless her soul.

Must say, as my first digicam and im not a top class photographer, it makes me look like a pro!

I've heard alot about the inevitable fuji "Zoom Error" but as of yet, no troubles to report.
