Nik Software Viveza Review
Viveza from Nik Software allows you to selectively control color and light in photographic images without the need for complicated selections or layer masks. Based on the innovative U Point technology, you simply place a point on the image where you want to make changes and then adjust easy-to-use sliders for brightness, contrast, color and more. Priced at $249.95 / 249.95 Euros, Viveza isn’t cheap, but it does promise to save you a lot of time and effort and achieve better results at the same time. Jon Canfield shows you how to use Viveza in our latest review.

A very effective review. As you state, appears to be much simpler than masks in photoshop. Is this included in Nikon NX2?

I would rate Viveza at a 5, but we really have no quibble. I realized within 5 minutes of using it that it was an order of magnitude more useful than any photo editing software I had ever used.
I tested it by going back to images that were too difficult and time consuming to edit. I mowed through them in about 10 minutes each.
As I have worked with the program I find it more and more useful. I am getting images like Versace's Welcome to Oz, if I want them. I am manipulating multiple, different Viveza layers, and adjusting transparency to fine tune my effects.
For the first time I feel like I pretty much have total control. Better yet, it is very intuitive. My images are greatly improved. Already they are selling better.
I am using Viveza to fine tune HDRs as well. I can't wait to use it in BW conversions in CS3. Amazing. Everyone should have this plug-in.

With the Nikon D 300, I got Nikon Capture programme.
Kindly enlighten me the main difference between Nik software Viveza, Nik Color PRO 3.0 and Nikon Capture? I am a bit confused as to which to choose between 2 Nik softwares.
Do you have facilities of converting images in B/white, sepia or any other color of our choice?

Viveza is an excellent tool that makes changing colors easy. I have noticed that sometimes it adds white lines(both horizontal and vertical) to an image. You have to zoom in to see them, but they are there and they will appear in a large print. Fortunately, the patch tool removes these lines easily.
