2. I assume this is because the *ist DL2 has now been announced.
   Unfortunately this price is not reflected in the UK - it is still one of the most expensive "budget" SLRs.
   Typical, as its the one I want due to using AA batteries and SD cards!!
   It's not easy recharging bespoke batteries in the Arctic.
