The Pentax S12 includes digital Shake Reduction and Face Recognition functions, 2.5 inch screen, ISO sensitivity up to 3200, 18 different Picture modes and comes in 4 different colours. 1. i got this pentax optio s12 yesterday (may 1st 2008) from qvc after seeing the qvc (tsv) demo last weekend.
   i took 9 photo's with it and scrutinised them on my pc.
   after comparing them with similar images taken on my 12mp fuji and 12mp canon,the pentax is now back in it's box to go back to qvc for a refund.
   i myself believe the printed photo images used on the qvc presentation where not from this camera.
   the so-called expert,john dickens,was banging on about 'pin sharp images' and 'detailed image quality'.this in my opinion is not the case.
   i have never seen such badly focused,badly exposed images from a camera in my life.
   the focus (what focus?) is smeared over the image.
   buy this mini heap of rubbish at your peril.

2. Bought the camera from QVC, and tried it out over a weekend where weather was bright and sunny. Some good pics, but most were out of focus. Sending camera straight back.
