PhotographyBLOG Review: HP Photosmart R707

HP Photosmart R707 The HP Photosmart R707 is the flagship model in HPs new range of digital cameras that was first announced at the end of August 2004. With a stylish brushed aluminum front and matt black rear, the R707 is sure to turn heads in your local camera shop. Inside is a 5 megapixel sensor and a number of cutting-edge technologies, the most notable being HP Adaptive Lighting, which automatically adjusts high contrast photos to reveal detail in the shadow areas. So does the R707 live up to its billing as HP’s best digital camera? Read my review to find out.

  1. I was very excited when this camera came out and bought one of the first ones out. I liked the features. Image quality was good but found that the boot-up-time and shutter lag were too slow compared to the CoolPix 3700 (the camera I still use for my portable pocket camera) and/or the CoolPix 5200 that I also use.

  2. Just recently bought this EXCELLENT camera. Wish I had read this review first because it is EQUALLY EXCELLENT and spot on in its accurate unbiassed opinion. Doing so would have saved hours of searching for the my IDEAL camera. For the price NOTHING on market to compare. Professional quality at Amateur prices . Well done HP - Eat your hearts out Canon, Nikon, Olympus etc and take not of how to do it. grin tongue wink
