CeWe Color Press Release

Digital Prints Straight From Your Nokia Device

15 May 2008, London – Nokia users can now print pictures and photo gifts straight from their mobile device via the new Nokia XpressPrint service provided by CeWe Color, Europe’s biggest photo company. Order your best pictures directly from your compatible Nokia Nseries handset and your first ten prints are free, or go to http://www.nokia.cewedigital.com to print photos, photo books and gifts directly from the website.

CeWe Color photo printing and picture gives you the chance to print your favourite photos, taken with your mobile device, at the touch of a button. Your pictures will then be posted to the address of your choice anywhere across Europe, within three days.

Nokia Nseries devices feature up to five megapixels of digital photography technology, making it possible to produce high quality prints.  Research by CeWe Color and GfK NOP shows that people seldom convert their digital images to prints: two-thirds (86 per cent) of those surveyed do not print all of their digital pictures; nearly half (45 per cent) print one-quarter or less of their images; and one in three (34 per cent) print very few or none of their digital snaps. The Nokia XpressPrint service is set to reverse this trend by making digital photographs as convenient to print as they are to take.

To use the service just download and install the latest version of the Nokia XpressPrint application on to your compatible Nokia Nseries device. Select the image you want, specify quantity, change the settings of the photo such as cropping and colour and then you are good to go.

You can also order your pictures to be printed on a range of products and gift items including mugs, t-shirts, greeting cards, and other fun products and then have them delivered to your home or to a friend. Prices start at eight pence for a digital photo and £6.75 for a photo mug.

Andrew White, Internet Sales Manager, Cewe Color, “Demand for extra services on your mobile phone has increased since sales of handsets passed the one billion mark earlier in the year. Handsets are becoming your all in one device providing users with the internet, video, music and now photo prints and gifts.”

The survey was commissioned by CeWe Color and conducted by GfK NOP. One thousand adults aged 16 or over were interviewed between March 7 and March 9 2008.
