SAMPLE 09 EXHIBITION AT THEPRINTSPACE

London’s top photographic printing studio theprintspace is proud to unveil a new collection of photographs by emerging and established photographers and artists from around the globe in an exhibition entitled SAMPLE 09.

SAMPLE 09 is an adventure in artists’ use of creative printing to enhance their work. An opportunity to redefine the relationship between image and presentation, SAMPLE 09 is a portal to seeing contemporary art and photography in brand new, innovative, and eye-opening ways.

Last year’s show was a clear highlight of theprintspace’s exhibition calendar with 19 photographers and visual artists participating. The same ‘organic’ curatorial strategy is employed, making this show a chance to revisit the concurrent works of a broad cross-section of theprintspace’s clients, from the established artists to the up and coming image makers of the year.

The show, hosted by Exhibit X, presents samples of work created by theprintspace’s clients for projects either in the pipeline or exhibitions that have taken place in the last year; the only criterion for selection is that the images have been printed at theprintspace.

Slinkachu, Toby Smith, Martin Usborne, Ben Roberts, Caio Locke, and Rebecca Miller were among the many exciting artists and photographers to be featured. “Theprintspace always houses a diverse group of talented artists and photographers, and this is no exception. We are very excited about the opportunity to present this truly impressive exhibition”, says Stuart Waplington, theprintspace’s Managing Director.

Wednesday the 4th of March 2009 marked the opening night of SAMPLE 09, which already created a frenzy in London’s creative community. The opening night featured a broad spectrum of London’s creative talent, accompanied by abundant alcohol, thought-provoking images and interesting conversation.

The exhibition will run until March 31st at theprintspace, 74 Kingsland Road, London E2 8DL, Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm.
