Sigma 50mm F1.4 Price Announced
 Sigma have announced the UK price of the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens. This new large aperture, standard prime lens will cost £379.99. In the UK, the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM will be available from June 2008.

Given that the Canon 50mm f/1.4 is available for just above £200, this had better be a stonker of a lens, though if its full frame performance is as good or better than the APS-C performance of the 30mm f/1.4, it will be money well spent!

Sigma glass normally sells for about 20-25% below the list price but this still puts this at over £280, which is too expensive relative to the competition.
