Sony launches sleek new Sony 8GB MICROVAULT PRO

Paris / Weybridge, 6th February, 2006 - Sony Europe’s Recording Media & Energy (RME) division has today announced the new 8GB model in its MICROVAULT PRO range. The one-inch hard disk drive is protected by a newly designed, highly polished, metal casing which, complete with the unique USB swivel connector, is able to plug straight into a computer USB port. The new 8GB MICROVAULT PRO will be available from February 2006 at a recommended retail price of 199 EURO including VAT.

The new MICROVAULT PRO stands out from its predecessors with its sleek new shape and higher storage capacity, providing a secure, portable and elegant storage device for people on the move. The size of a business card, the ultra-portable 8GB MICROVAULT PRO comes pre-loaded with Sony’s Auto Sync file synchronisation for high quality storage capacity. This software ensures that the user always has their most up-to-date files with them wherever they go and allows the retrieval of up to ten generations of a file stored on the MICROVAULT PRO.
