A Rebel in Paris

Mark Goldstein | Digital SLR Cameras | February 10, 2004 | 2 Comments

Canon EOS 300DProfessional fine-art photographer Alain Briot has had a new article published on the Luminous Landscape Website, discussing a recent trip to Paris with the Canon EOS 300D DLSR camera.

“In December 2003 and January 2004 I spent two weeks photographing in Paris. I took along with me my trusty Linhof Master Teknica 4x5, my Fuji 645zi medium format, and my just-acquired Canon 300D “digital rebel” camera. Yes, a digital camera, and an entry-model at that! Let’s see how these 3 different cameras performed, or interfaced, in a large-city environment.”

I wonder what he might have thought if he had used L lenses, instead of the EF-S Kit lens.

To much reading about or seeing to many photographs of Paris lately, I getting information overload. I just might have to revisit it again this year. smile

I skipped the article and enjoy his photos. Maybe I ignorant or selfish, but I have come to my own conclusion about digital photography. It is my prefer medium to use to take photographs. I left the film world behind years ago and have never looked back.
