Adobe has officially unveiled the worldwide launch date of Creative Suite 5. The company will release Adobe CS5 on 12 April, and encourages everyone to attend the global launch event online via a dedicated website. The launch time is 5pm CET / 11am EDT / 8am PDT.

Thanks for the heads up on the new version. I have to agree I’m pretty surprised they are coming out with one so soon. I wish they would slow down as I agree it seems to be just for upgrade revenue.

Most graphic designers tend to use Adobe products when it comes to their creations. Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are the three main programs that you want to get yourself familiar with. It's great if you have to use them everyday or with different projects. If you're a freelancer and don't use the programs that much on projects, at least make sure that you keep practicing at your skills every once and awhile so they won't fade off quickly.

It is fantastic that Adobe are continually updating and adding to the already fantastic photoshop suite. I am sure that it is worth every penny of the asking price with all the development time that goes into such a feature rich package.
