AKVIS Press Release
AKVIS Retoucher v.6.0: Automatic Photo Retouching. Now with Batch Processing!
May 22, 2013 -- AKVIS announces the release of AKVIS Retoucher 6.0 for Windows and Mac OS X. The software restores damaged photos by removing defects and imperfections, and by reconstructing the missing parts; it even helps to get rid of the irrelevant details and unwanted objects. Version 6.0 adds the Batch Processing feature that lets you automatically process a series of images.
The number one software in photo restoration and retouching, AKVIS Retoucher restores damaged photographs with minimal effort and amazing results. This efficient program lets you remove dust, scratches, stains, and other defects from your images; it reconstructs missing or bad parts of a photo using the information of the surrounding areas.
But this is not the only thing it can do. AKVIS Retoucher is a handy tool for improving the composition of your photos. You can remove date stamps, logos, small irrelevant details (wires, refuse bins, tattoos, etc) and even larger and complex objects (people, cars, buildings, etc).
If you need to increase the canvas size to bring the main object into focus, the software will help you to fill the blank areas of the canvas with appropriate image textures.
Defects and details are removed automatically. Just select the areas you want to correct, press Run, and watch scratches and other imperfections vanish as if by magic!
Take a look at all the things Retoucher can accomplish for you at the Examples page.
The program is easy to use and learn. Besides the automatic retouching, it also offers a set of the helpful tools which can be used to make small corrections and finishing touches.
Version 6.0 adds the long waiting Batch Processing feature that lets you automatically process a series of images. It is extremely useful when retouching a lot of photos with similar defects or with the same date stamp.
Also, some bugs have been fixed.
Registered users of Retoucher can upgrade to version 6.0 for free, except the owners of the old Business version (Business v.1.0-3.5; they need to pay $19 for an upgrade to the new version).
A full-featured free evaluation download of AKVIS Retoucher v.6.0 is available at the Product Page.
The software can be used as a standalone application and as a plugin to image editors (Adobe Photoshop, Corel PaintShop Pro, and other image editors).
It runs on Windows XP/Vista/Win7/Win 8 and on Mac OS X 10.4-10.8, both 32 and 64 bit.
The product sells for $87.00, downloadable from akvis.com. The functionality of the program depends on the license type. During the trial period you can try all options and choose the license you like. Consult the comparison table for more details about license types and versions of Retoucher.
