Amsterdam, 1 August 2013 – AOC presents a new series of monitors which embodies a highly competitive new generation of AH-IPS and IPS 3D models, offering outstanding colour reproduction and wide viewing angles. Boasting an ultra-slim borderless design, these six new displays deliver both on functionality and value. Affordable display technologies
Display specialist AOC offers AH-IPS and IPS 3D technology to a broad consumer audience at a low price point. The 69 series predominantly targets small businesses and home users. All of these Full HD monitors utilise mercury-free WLED backlights and are available in three different display sizes, 21.5″ (54.6 cm), 23″ (58.4 cm) and 27″ (68.6 cm). The new Advanced High Performance IPS panels ensure an impressive colour fidelity with viewing angles of up to 178° both vertically and horizontally, while offering a higher panel transmittance and extremely wide colour gamut. The IPS 3D models in particular cater to the requirements of gamers and multimedia users with their flicker-free 3D functionality and lightweight polarised 3D glasses. Especially handy is the embedded converting feature which allows displaying 2D content in 3D by simply pressing the hot key on the front of the bezel.
Strong connectivity options
AOC equips its new monitor family with diferrent connectivity options. Dependent on the individual model, users can connect multiple signal sources simultaneously via D-Sub,DVI-D, HDCP-compatible HDMI, an integrated DisplayPort or even MHL. The latter connector can be used to hook up Android gadgets and directly display the contents of the respective device in Full HD on these large screens. As a further benefit, the tablet PC or smartphone is charged at the same time.
Stunning design and environmentally friendly
The 69 series combines eco-friendliness and looks, flaunting a captivating, ultra-slim 2 mm borderless design with a brushed metal front and base as well as a partly high gloss finish and hair-line texture on the back. The WLED backlights contain no toxic mercury to contaminate the environment, and offer substantially lower power consumption than traditional monitors. The electricity use can further be reduced with user-selectable power-saving display modes such as Eco Mode and e-Saver.
AOC offers a three year warranty on the 69 series, including an on-site exchange service. The models are available as of now at RRPs ranging from £ 129 to £ 249 (including VAT).
