Apple has posted a Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update, which adds system-level support for raw image files generated by the Nikon Coolpix P340, Nikon 1 V3, Olympus OM-D E-M10, Olympu STYLUS 1, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH4, Sony A7S (pictured), Sony Alpha ILCE-5000, Sony Alpha ILCE-6000, Sony Alpha SLT-A77 II and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III cameras. This pretty much lays to rest the silly speculation that Apple's getting out of RAW processing. If updates are slow these days, it's because Apple's working on an entirely new RAW engine for both OS X 10.10 and iOS 8 that will be extensible by third parties, giving plugin developers direct access to RAW data and obviating the need to generate space-wasting TIF or PSD files.

I found an excellent video that puts the A7s against the GH4, on a level playing field. There's a link to an article that explains how that is done, within the video- "Epic Shootout A7s vs. GH4"
It can be found at this link http://youtu.be/qdMypfYrKgw
