Struggling to meet higher-than-expected demand in the US, Apple has decided to postpone the international launch of the Apple iPad. “Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks,” the company said in a statement. “Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10.”

Not worth waiting for! Overpriced and chronically underpowered. You will even have to pay for OS upgrades. Still, there must be some daft enough to shell out money for it!

It's all BS. It's been delayed due to refinements to fix reported overheating and wifi issues on the first batch of iPads. Of course they use spin on the delay to turn it into a positive and create more demand for a so called 'scarce' product.

Also apple are paying many many websites to keep posting about the iPad, the ubiquity makes it appear to the casual observer to mean 'great product/success' but it's all hype.

This is the iFad. And anyone who buys these need their heads looking at. And that's coming from me a VERY happy iPod Touch 3G owner.

I am not one of the Nabobs negative chatter of those who criticize the request of the company (in many cases than ever before without seeing or even use one). Instead, I am one who believes that there would be a good market size for light weight, and readable, "Swiss army knife that" In the digital tools. May not be able to do everything What are some great games can do, but there are some concessions to be done in some cases.
