Artensoft Tilt Shift Generator Creates Cool Miniature Style Pictures from Ordinary Photos

February 9, 2012 – Artensoft today announces Tilt Shift Generator 1.0, a unique program for Windows OS that allows the user to create the tilt-shift effect in photos without expensive tilt-shift lenses.

Tilt-shift photography is a unique technique in photo art that makes a life-size object or place look like a miniature model. For this, the camera is equipped with a special tilt-shift lens, allowing photographers to go beyond the limitations of DOF and perspective. Besides, photos need to be taken from a great height, for example, a bridge, mountain, or helicopter. It creates the illusion that the viewer looks at a miniature model.

Now tilt-shift miniature style photos can be created with Artensoft Tilt Shift Generator that uses a special algorithm to blur specific areas of the image with the right force. After this manipulation, people and objects in the photo look like tiny miniatures. The software gives results similar and even better than those achieved with the tilt-shift lens, allowing the user to get the effect without investing much money into expensive equipment.

The program provides many settings to achieve the desired effect. For example, the user can select the front and back defocus options, defocus graph, and the Bokeh mask. The unique Bokeh Boost feature allows one to further strengthen the blur of selected areas in order to achieve a more realistic effect.

“Today tilt-shift photography is becoming more and more popular in the world. The technique is often used by professional photographers who are preparing images for ads,” says Eugene Baryshnikov, CEO of Artensoft. “Special lenses that are used for creating the tilt-shift effect cost more than $2,000. With Artensoft Tilt Shift Generator, you can create superb tilt-shift photos and considerably save on buying expensive equipment.”

Why is it that this type of program seems to want to add blur, when normal tilt/shift cameras/lenses are used to keep everything in focus. People like Joe Cornish use large format cameras with movements to do this with landscapes, but there seems to be a trent to make more pictures look like they were taken with a Holga. WHY?
