BenQ DC S1430 – Discover the Wonders of Stable Zooms!

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, May 20, 2011 – BenQ announced the release of a new digital camera lineup in its S-series today with the 14 Megapixels S1430. The stylish S1430 in “Caramel Gold” is designed for the young adults who want to own a camera that has creative shooting modes that does wonders to their images for them so they can share their precious life moments with their friends and family. ?

BenQ continues to improve the advances in the optical technology of the S Series. The O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) on S1430 prevents blur on shots and working together with the anti-shake software built-in, it has doubled the ability of anti-shake. This feature works automatically and compensates for unintended camera movements or slow shutter speeds to deliver crisply rendered, sharp and crystal clear images which without might ruin an otherwise perfect shot.

S1430 with 5x optical zoom on a 26mm wide angle lens and 3” 460k-pixel LCD screen with auto brightness offers exceptional colour and contrast so with these, every zoom or everyone of every detail of every shot can be seen clearly.

Professional DSLR uses “tilt-shift lenses” to create effects similar to a miniature scene. BenQ’s compact caramel gold goodness, the S1430, can too perform tilt-shift photography with its Toy Mode.

BenQ’s S1430 is a camera that does wonders as it comes with a wonderful range of creative shooting modes, including “LOMO”, “Color Accent” and “Fisheye”. The “LOMO” adds effects like dark-corners, off-kilter exposure and over-saturated colours to photographs turning them into artworks with unlimited creativity. “Fisheye Mode” can be applied to re-create a hemispherical distortion view of the targeted shot as if the camera was equipped with a Fisheye lens, providing S1430 users with countless creative angles to their shots. The “Color Accent” effect allows one selected colour in the photo to stay whilst having the rest converted into black and white, turn the photographs’ focuses and personality around with a simple click!

BenQ’s HDR II image enhancement technology is a magical feature that lets users get great shots of high-contrast scenes that are usually so difficult to photograph well, especially shots with backlight. HDR II depicts the scenes in the photograph exactly how it is seen by the eye, with all the details in both dark and bright areas intact. Furthermore, HDR II allows previews with HDR applied, so users know exactly what kind of shots they will be taking.

S1430 includes the “Skin Soften” and “De-blemish” features that make everyone photogenic in photographs as it smoothes away facial imperfections, while maintaining a natural appearance. A 720p HD movie recording capability that even allows “Color Accent” during recording, the crisply detailed vivid HD videos taken can now look more amazing than ever. Other wonderfully bundled modes includes: 5cm Super Macro; Smile Detection; Intelligent Scene; Face Detect, Pre-composition and Panorama.

BenQ’s Caramel Gold S1430 will be available in May 2011. For more information, please visit www.BenQ.com
