Canon 10D Focusing Problem Acknowledged by Canon France

Canon EOS 10DPhotoxels are reporting that Canon France have admitted that the focusing issue that many new Canon 10D owners have complained about is a real problem. I’ll see what everyone’s saying on the DPReview Canon DSLR forum…

“French photography magazine Chasseur d’Images made a similar request to Canon France and received an official acknowledgement of the autofocus problem. (They’re still maintaining it affects only a small percentage of owners, though.) The good news is that it is easily fixed with a simple firmware adjustment by Canon.”

I am consideing the 10D over the 20D due the lower shutter sound. I would like to know of any issues, problems with this camera on a daily use.

The 20D sounds great but iv found it to have a few problems (camera lock, loud shutter, ect) & all I can do is wait for the next version & wonder if its as good as I hope.

I've used the 10D for the last couple of years without any problems at all. Having said that, I'm considering upgrading to the 20D for the extra speed and responsiveness that the Digic II processor offers.
