Canon 24-70mm Lens with Image Stabilisation?
Possible news of a Canon EF 24-70mm IS USM lens is buried within a revised press release for the new EOS camera kits. It contains the following enigmatic entry:
EOS 5D Standard Zoom Kit - £2,999.99
- EF 24-70 IS U Lens
Could a new EF standard-zoom lens be on the horizon? I’m currently checking this out with Canon UK to find out if it’s a simple mistake or not.

This is what I'm talking about (per my Ask a PMA post re: new Nikon primes and standard zooms w/VR). Will Nikon have an answer for this? (I'm aware of the rumors of a 24-120mm f2.8 VR, but it seems implausible at that focal length range and max ap.)

Probably a typo. Quite possible they meant the 24-105 IS USM, which was released at the same time as the 5D.
