Canon 400mm, 300mm and 8-15mm Lenses Delayed
Canon has delayed the introduction of the new 400mm, 300mm and 8-15mm lenses until March 2011. Adjustments in the manufacturing process are the official reason for the 3 month delay of the EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM, EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM and EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM lense, which were first unveiled at the end of August.

United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 1st November 2010 – Following the announcement of the new EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM, EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM and EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM, on 26th August 2010, Canon has now delayed the introduction of these lenses due to some adjustments in the manufacturing process. These lenses are now due to be released in March 2011.
Canon would like to apologise to any customers who will be inconvenienced by these delays.

Its not stabilized but else that it should be alright (if you can afford the 1700euros for the L mark).

Well, lack of stabilization with lens this wide does not make any difference at all. Even if you shake it a little bit on purpose.
Otherwise, I doubt anybody has any info on this lens, yet. We'll have to wait until March.
I know, this is the lens for me. After that, I will be set for the rest of my foreseeable life...
