Canon Announces Image Browser 5 for Mac OS X

Mark Goldstein | Software | December 29, 2004 | 3 Comments

Canon have just released Image Browser 5 for Mac OS X, which is apparently “software that knows your camera and will change your total digital camera experience”. Must be worth downloading then.

“ImageBrowser 5.0 provide a simple straightforward procedure for everything from downloading, organizing and editing images through to printing your images or sending them as e-mail attachments, it also offers a range of features specifically designed to combine with and make the most of your camera’s functions. Some of these features are RAW image processing, panorama image composition, and a remote shooting function that lets you control the camera from your Mac.”

The updater (from any previous release) is available at Canon's web self-service system: http://alpha02.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?SV=WWUCA900. If that link doesn't work try going through Canon's main site. Unfortunately, the update isn't available at the time I'm writing because of "server maintenance." Or so they say. I'll be going back tomorrow to see.
