I hope this time there want be lens error and other fiasco things with canon. We'll have to wait till technical review of it.

What was the problem last time? Choosing between TZ10, this one and FZ35 (not a compact, but still).
Basically trying to figure out if there is a compact as close to FZ35 in terms of features and image quality as possible and at least 300mm lens?

love to see this discussion! It’s great to see you all working through the issues and also, it’s great to see recommendations for testing. In the end, it’s what your actual users do and prefer that should be your biggest driver in making these decisions.
