Anybody know of a Slovenian to English translator? This review would be very useful to me, but alas, I do not speak Slovenian, nor do I know anyone who speaks Slovenian, unfortunately.

Thoughts?

To Mike Strock.

Hi, I'm the one who wrote the test, but the majority of the photos are from Bojan. Unfortunately I noticed you comment a little late. So if you have any question don't hesitate to ask me.

I would like to have more international oriented page but my English sucks and it's a bit time consuming smile

Have a nice day,

I'm just mainly interested in how well it worked in this environment. I'm looking at buying one to use for a small home based studio. While it will be used outdoors and in other situations as well, the studio environment is where 80-90% of where it will be used, at least initially.

Given your experience, would you use the DR in this environment?

Thanks!

Yes, I would use Digital Rebel (EOS 300D) for studio photography (in case studio photography would be my major job)

Image quality and the resolution meets most of my needs in studio. If I would like to have more, there is just one camera left at the moment. The camera is EOS 1Ds.

When in studio it's no matter how many frames per second your camera has, or if there is a spot meter or not, or the housing is black or silver, how many fonctions it has,...

What you need is a Manual mode, a good White Balance setting for sun and a good sensor at ISO 100.

The most important is image quality. And the image quality is similar to Canon 10D which is good.

This is just my opinion.

Thanks Peter. I've got a Canon Rebel film camera, so the Digital Rebel is a logical choice. I realize it's just your opinion, but that's what I asked for. I've read reviews and reviews and reviews, and user reviews and whatever.

So, it seems like a good choice. Thanks again.

Hey you're welcome smile

While using Digital Rebel in studio you'll have to use a simple (manual mode) flash to fire studio flashes. In my case I used my SpeedLite 550EX which I set to Manual mode and 1/64 of power. It's important not to use ETTL because preflash fires your studio flashes which is not good. You get a black photo using ETTL mode because the studio flash is stil out of it's power.
