It's a big trend: compact cameras with interchangable lenses. And Canon seems to be the last keyplayer to produce one. Let's see the lenses to be issued.

canon finally entering the compact/hybrid market... seems about 3 years too late... the proof is in the camera though...

Does not look too bad with the 22mm lens, of course it would look better in black. While this camera seems more for video than stills I'm interested in this one just because I have lots of Canon glass for my SLR. Even if it means using the adapter, sometimes it might be nice to have the option to use some of my other Canon lenses such as the macros. Still it's a bit pricey and I think I'll be adding a X-E1 to my tools so I'll probably pass on this one and wait to see when the next version is like.

What's with the black electrical tape strip on the bottom? Is the tripod mount and the battery door a trade secret?

Sorry Canon this design is years too late... and that 18-55 kit lens is way too big. Canon looks to be no longer an innovator.

this more look like a cheap camera to me. The build is very disappointing.
