Canon G5 Imminent?

Mark Goldstein | Digital Compact Cameras | May 30, 2003 | 4 Comments

Internet rumours are circulating about the imminent announcement of the Canon G5. Fred Miranda has included links to a couple of sites that have details and pictures of this probable 5-megapixel successor to the G3. Apparently Apple have stopped Canon from using the G4 term, so they have had to skip that part of the sequence!

IF there's a G5 about, the specs on that french site seem a little slack. Would Canon really just release another 5mp/4X zoom? Who knows.

Okay, Mr. Smartypants... If they had to skip the G4 term, because of Apple, what about G3 (the model of computer Apple had before the G4!) Not to mention Apple will probably be releasing the G5 this summer.

What do you think about that?!

i'd rather assume they skip the g4 because the number 4 is considered unlucky in many asian cultures.
