A detailed hands-on look at the new Canon IXUS 500 HS and IXUS 125 HS compact cameras.

Canon were also showing the new ELPH 520 HS / IXUS 500 HS and the ELPH 110 HS / IXUS 125 HS compacts at Digital Experience! on the eve of CES proper. The former is a metal-bodied ultra-compact camera with a 12x optical zoom, and the latter has a more modest 24-120mm equivalent lens.

The compact size and metal construction are appealing. Not sure about that pink/red colour though :s

Hope they can shoot HD like sony does. Older 24fps is choppy. My best choice would have been S95 with it's amazing image quality for that size camera. But video is choppy.
