Why do all these cameras keep on getting higher resolution arrays? I don't think anyone really has a need for high resolution in a compact point and shoot camera - personally I want much better noise performance leading to better results in low light conditions. As a result I am not planning to upgrade my existing 8mp camera for a long time to come until the manufacturers start heading in the right direction...
