United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland 23rd August 2011 – Canon has today announced the launch of the PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150, two stylish and compact All-In-One printers ideal for students and families looking for a simple solution that’s easy to set-up and use. Designed to print documents, web content and photos quickly and easily, the affordable PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 combine exceptional value with signature Canon image quality, allowing consumers to use their printer efficiently, as often as they like.

For users on a budget that don’t want to miss out on the latest innovations, the PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 offer access to advanced PIXMA features, including Full HD Movie Print and Easy-WebPrint EX for Intelligent Web Printing. The PIXMA MG3150 incorporates Auto Duplex Print and Wi-Fi, and supports the new Canon Easy-PhotoPrint App (for iOS and Android devices), which allows photo printing and scanning directly to mobile devices.

PIXMA quality for every user
The models use Canon’s FINE cartridges which feature a new ink formula for improved colour reproduction on plain paper. For frequent users, ink cartridges now come in a high yield XL version offering savings over standard tanks. With pigment black and dye based colour inks, the models are ideal for both text documents and photo printing. FINE print head technology with a minimum 2pl droplet size, combined with maximum 4800dpi print resolution, produces beautiful photo prints.

Streamlined and sustainable
The stylish and streamlined PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 are more compact than previous models thanks to the new FastFront design, which allows the paper and ink cartridges to be loaded from the front. As users no longer need to access the top or rear of the printer, the unit can be placed against a wall or on a shelf taking up less space.

To reduce power usage both models incorporate Quick Start so there is no need to wait for the printer to ‘warm up’; operation is almost instantaneous, perfect for those in a hurry. The PIXMA MG3150 also includes the new ECO Information feature, which allows users to see how much paper and CO2 they are saving by using Auto Duplex printing to produce double sided documents automatically.

The web at your fingertips
The PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 feature Easy-WebPrint EX for printing web pages exactly as required with no paper or ink waste. Ideal for students researching projects and assignments, the intuitive software means multiple web pages can be combined and printed on one page using Auto Clip or the one click fit-to-page option, allowing for intelligent printing from the web.

Have fun, get creative
The new PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 give users the ability to do more than ever with their images. With Full HD Movie stills can be captured and printed from full HD video footage shot on Canon’s range of Digital SLRs or Canon Digital Still Cameras.

Users of the PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 can also now apply creative effects to those images thanks to an upgrade to the functionality. Merge Frames means multiple images can be combined to give a sense of motion to the printed photos and Layout Print lets users select a small movie clip and use a comic-strip effect to print a storyboard.

The PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 feature simple-to-use Easy-PhotoPrint EX software, so that users can impress friends and family and get creative with some of their content – printing photos, calendars and albums. Now updated with a Fun Filter Effect, the software also means fun and artistic image effects can be applied to photos including Blur Background, Fish-eye, Soft Focus, Miniature and Toy Camera.
