Canon Releases ZoomBrowser 5.0
Canon have had a busy Christmas - they’ve also just released Zoom Browser 5 for Windows.
“ZoomBrowser EX 5.0, as well as managing images shot using a digital camera, also enables you to take full advantage of your camera’s built-in functions. Not only does ZoomBrowser EX 5.0 provide a simple straightforward procedure for everything from downloading, organizing and editing images through to printing your images or sending them as e-mail attachments, it also offers a range of features specifically designed to combine with and make the most of your camera’s functions. Some of these features are RAW image processing, panorama image composition, and a remote shooting function that lets you control the camera from your PC. ZoomBrowser EX 5.0—software that knows your camera and will change your total digital camera experience.”

You can get it in the Canon EOS page, Download Library. I guess that you will need a previous version of ZoomBrowser to be able to install it (I haven't finished downloading it).

I found a copy by drilling down for my camera from the Canon Europe's software site:

Thanks guys -- I found and installed it. So far I am singuarly unimpressed. It just does not work right for me. If I open ZB then from within it open the camera interface, nothing happens. Camera Window shows up as a running process, but the UI never shows up on screen. Is there some known incompatibility with the 10D? I could not find reference to one anywhere.
This does not bother me greatly as I have never been too impressed by ZB, expecially its RAW converter, but it would be nice to be able to do a linear conversion once in a while. Anyone figured out how to do a linear conversion with the PS CS RAW converter?

just got my canon powershot a620 last week. zb is working fine for me, adding keywords and searching for photos is easy. viewing the .exif data and histogram and other info is very easy. basically everything with it becomes easy. although the quick editing isnt all that great, just use photoshop or the streamlined version photoshop elements.
