Capture One DSLR Rebel Available for $29
The new RAW convertor software Capture One DSLR Rebel Edition, which is specifically designed for the Canon EOS 300D/Rebel digital SLR, is now available for the bargain introductory price of just $29 from the PictureFlow website. If you have a Canon EOS 300D and use RAW files, this may be the best $29 that you ever spend on your digital camera…

$29? Wow! I guess my $99 spent on C1LE help paid for how cheap this is. On the other hand the C1 owners who spent $499 for their C1 purchases, help to reduce the price of C1LE. I really wonder now with the next version of Photoshop coming, Photoshop CS, with it built in 16Bit RAW conversion, how useful these third party RAW coversion programs are going to be.

It is a *little* bit annoying that Capture One have released a separate dedicated program for Canon EOS 300D/Rebel owners, but not for the 10D or any of the other digital SLRs that Capture One DSLR LE supports. I would rather have paid less for a version that just supported the 10D, rather than more for a version that supports multiple cameras. Ah well...!

BTW here's a link to the press release for C1 REBEL, which is in PDF format:

There's some more interesting details that I've extracted:
This latest version in the C1 DSLR line of RAW Workflow Software supports the Canon 300D REBEL™ Digital SLR exclusively, and will be available at an introductory price of $29. As of November 15th the price will be $49.
A future release of C1 REBEL™ V2.0 will include support for the popular Canon Powershot™ “Point & Shoot“ cameras that support the RAW image format and will be a free upgrade to all registered users of C1 REBEL™ V1.0. In addition, C1 PRO™ (Win/Mac) will offer 300D support in soon to be released free-of-charge upgrades for registered users.
