Casio EX-Z4 Firmware Update

Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z4UCasio have released a new firmware version for the EX-Z4 digital camera. Version 1.02 improves white balance performance and fixes a problem that occurs in the Voice Recoding Mode when memory becomes full.

Hey does anyone know if you download the firmware off the euro site for the z4 could you install that on a US z4u and perhaps it would enable the movie mode. I have both firmwares but im scared to try the euro one cause it may mess things up. Do you think it compeletly erases the firmware and rewrites everything or is it just an upgrade?
If any one has anythoughts please let me know

Personally I wouldn't try that, as doing so will almost certainly invalidate your warranty and you will be left with a very expensive paper-weight if anything goes wrong.

However, you may want to check out the Casio forum at DPReview and see if anyone has tried it out already:
