Blue Earth and The Ansel Adams Gallery have teamed up to bring the work of eight fine art landscape photographers to the Mumm Napa Gallery in Rutherford, California, for an exhibition entitled “Changing Earth: Photographers’ Call to Action”. The exhibition opens on 19 September 2009 and will be displayed for six months. The works depict endangered cultures, threatened environments and topics of social concern.  Their subjects include the Amazon, Colorado River Delta, wildlife corridors, the effect of climate change on local people, wildlife rescue, Siberia defrosted, animals in captivity and Earth as inspiration.

Rutherford, CALIF.—The Ansel Adams Gallery and Blue Earth will bring the work of fine art landscape photographers to the Mumm Napa Gallery in Rutherford, California, beginning September 19.

The exhibition, titled “Changing Earth: Photographers’ Call to Action” will be displayed for six months. “My grandfather’s photographs demonstrated that artistic interpretation can raise public awareness, change perceptions and alter understanding about our world,” said Matthew Adams. “It is in that spirit that The Ansel Adams Gallery has joined Blue Earth and Mumm Napa to do the same.”

“Changing Earth: Photographers’ Call to Action” presents the work of eight contemporary photographers: Daniel Beltra, Benjamin Drummond, Stephen Harrison, Anne Marie Musselman, Camille Seaman, Florian Schulz, John Trotter and Rebecca Norris Webb, each selected by The Ansel Adams Gallery and Blue Earth for their artistic depictions of endangered cultures, threatened environments and topics of social concern.  Their subjects include the Amazon, Colorado River Delta, wildlife corridors, the effect of climate change on local people, wildlife rescue, Siberia defrosted, animals in captivity and Earth as inspiration.
