Issue 29 of David Noton’s Chasing the Light online magazine is now available. In this month's Behind the Lens and accompanying Video Blog, David relates the second part of his Iceland trip he undertook in March 2014. For the second part of his Low Down on Planning, he analyses what needs to be considered when planning an individual shoot: where, when, transport, packing and preparation. Renowned pro Ross Hoddinott has a brand new column, Hoddinott’s Hangout, with the inaugural installment presenting a travelogue of his recent trip to the Galapagos Islands, which includes some of the great wildlife shots he captured in that special environment. And in The Bizz, former picture researcher/editor and current freelance keyworder Juliet McGrory reveals the dark art behind captioning and keywording your images successfully. Please note that the full contents of Chasing the Light online magazine is available to f11 subscribers only. Non-members can purchase individual issues of the magazine at a price of £4.20.

Every month we publish an issue of our unique Chasing the Light online magazine, exclusively for our worldwide following of f11 members - sign up for a free trial (join here). With features from behind the lens and on the road with world-renowned landscape and travel photographer David Noton as well as a wealth of other contributors, it combines stunning photography of the most spectacular locations on earth with technical features, video tutorials and video blogs, humorous anecdotes, travel notes, a member's gallery and industry news. The stories behind the photos make it an entertaining, informative and inspirational monthly read, as well as an invaluable information resource for all who love landscapes, travel and photography.

To follow up on last month’s Iceland March 2014 Part One, in this month’s Behind the Lens and accompanying Video Blog, David shares with us goings-on during the second part of that trip. For the second part of David’s Low Down on Planning, he analyses what needs to be considered when planning an individual shoot: where, when, transport, packing and preparation. And as well as his usual two Post-Production Videos, David also presents his second Video Tutorial on working with a tilt-and-shift lens, this time in collaboration with magazine regular David Taylor.

From other contributors, we are thrilled to announce the launch of renowned pro Ross Hoddinott’s brand new column, Hoddinott’s Hangout. For this inaugural installment, Ross presents a travelogue of his recent trip to the Galapagos Islands, which includes some of the great wildlife shots he captured in that special environment. Taylor Made continues with an article examining the benefits of pushing yourself outside your photo comfort zone, as David T relives a successful foray into travel portraiture in Zanzibar.

Talking of new directions, for this month’s Guest Feature we present Paul Kenny, as he grants us a privileged glimpse into his unique vision of landscape photography capturing found elements within intriguing abstracts. And in The Bizz, former picture researcher/editor and current freelance keyworder Juliet McGrory reveals the dark art behind captioning and keywording your images successfully.

Please note that the full contents of Chasing the Light online magazine is available to f11 subscribers only. Non-members can purchase individual issues of the magazine at a price of £4.20 by clicking any of the blue highlighted 'view this article' headings.
