Clint Thayer Reviews Nikon D70
Professional photographer Clint Thayer has today published a review of the 6 megapixel Nikon D70 DSLR.
“If you are use to shooting with a D100, you’ll immediately notice the acuity of which is revealed in your work. Almost too sharp is not an understatement. If you take your pictures in automatic mode, not only are the pictures sharp, but very contrasty and dynamic. This may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preference of course. In any event, Nikon seemed to be aware of the “soft image” reputation of the D100, and responded with quite the opposite in this iteration.”

I have used Nikon film SLR's for some time and I am a user of the D100 and coolpix 5700. I purchased a D70 two weeks ago and have found it to be the D100 and then some!! It is a remarkable DSLR and has now found a permanent place in my kit. In fact, it is fast becoming my first choice camera on jobs.
Well done Nikon.

So have you replaced the D100 with the D70 then Anthony? I'm not sure why anyone would buy the D100 now, if the D70 is a *better* camera.
