Light & Land Press Release

New Tour Leader, New Tours: Light & Land Welcomes David Clapp to the Team

6 December 2011

Light & Land has announced the addition of professional landscape and architectural photographer, David Clapp, to its team of elite photography tutors.

Previously a teacher and a professional photographer since 2006, David possesses the perfect combination of skills with which to share his technical expertise and passion for photography.
David’s addition to the Light & Land team also sees the launch of a brand new range of photographic city breaks – including Valencia, Dusseldorf & Berlin.  Designed to take clients to some of the best architectural cities in Europe, these 3-day long weekend tours allow for shooting at dawn, dusk and even at night for those extra special cityscapes.

David has several years’ experience of running his own workshops and he is a regular contributor to the national photography press as well as having a strong following for his social media commentary.
David said: ‘Unlike other photographers, I am at home shooting in a capital city as I am in the wild.  My own personal photographic trips have been successful, life enriching and exciting experiences.
‘I am delighted that my skills behind the camera, have lead this path to Light & Land. By combining the experience of the company and my own photographic strengths, this will result in us being able to offer even greater adventures for our Light & Land photographer guests.’

Charlie Waited added: ‘David has that much admired ability of strictness of composition which with architectural photography is pivotal in achieving powerful images.  His knowledge and imaginative, creative manipulation of mixed lighting scenarios is second to none – which elevates him to the position of one of Europe’s top architectural and landscape photographers practicing his craft today.’
For more information on David Clapp’s spring & summer 2012 tours to Valencia and Dusseldorf please visit the Light & Land website – places are on sale now and already filling fast!  Berlin dates will be released shortly and David will also be running a range of landscape tours for Light & Land.

#1 istanbul tours

We went to Spain for a three-week vacation and had been traveling around it for a week already when we got to Valencia http://www.privatetoursinistanbul.com We stayed in Valencia for two days. One of the days was to do the Valencia Tour. It was the best thing we did at that point of the trip because it was a completely different experience. We had visited museums, palaces, cathedrals, etc in other cities but in Valencia tour we went to the country side and experienced less touristic places and other typical spanish activities. We had an amazing day with the tour guide, who provided us with a day of lots of fun and unforgettable memories. We were extremely happy to have chosen this tour to have a break in our trip around Spain and we highly recommend it to anyone who goes to Spain.

#4 Santorini Travel

I have been on a handful of tours in Santorini and John the past few months and Arnold was, hands down, the best tour guide of all. He was not just knowledgeable, but his presentation of the material made it fascinating. He kept our group amused while we waited at the cable car. http://www.privatesantorinitours.com/santorini-tour-guides.html Arnold also presented political issues in such a balanced manner, it did not reveal any agenda or bias that I could detect. He was sensitive to people’s wants and would sometimes offer to take a picture for you before you even asked. He also stayed 15+ minutes after the tour was over to answer our questions about unrelated travel.
