Ultra-compact multifunction device extends Expression Premium range

27 August 2013 – Specifically designed for people who want to print bigger, better photos at home, Epson announces the Expression Photo XP-950. This is the market’s first[5] 6-colour photo all-in-one that also offers A3 printing, yet is the size more typical of an A4 all-in-one.

I believe this printer is not suitable for quality prints. It is far to vivid and contrasty and does NOT support profiles (other than epson) So it cannot be used in a controlled photo process.
Pity. Why go to all the trouble of making it with a great idea like the A3 occasional use, then leaving it half baked. A complete marketing stuff up.

It would seem Epson is far more intent on creating a printer that will not use third party inks than one that is actually being useful.

I read you post on your blog.
Very good review!

I suppose that you have the Epson Expression XP-950, so can you help me?

I would buy it, but I need to know before to buy if it is compatible to Gutenprint.
Can you do this test for me?

Gutenprint is a free sofware custom hi-quality printer driver.
Gutenprint still doesn't support the XP-950, but I hope it works with the same gutenprint driver for the
Epson Stylus Photo 1400 (escp2-1400) or
Epson Stylus Photo 1410 (escp2-1410)

So can you installal Gutenprint and made a simple color graphic test?

If you use linux you can download it from repository of your distribution.

If you use Windows You can download it from:
