Epson Ultrachrome K3 Photo Gallery
The new Epson Ultrachrome K3 inkset and Epson Stylus Photo printers were unveiled at a press conference in Paris, France in April. PhotographyBLOG was there to take a sneak peak at the new inkset and printers that Epson hope professional photographers will be using from June onwards. I’ve patiently been sitting on the news for the last month due to a very long embargo date, so without further ado, here is a gallery of photos from the press launch.

WOW, I would love to see a sample of each printer. I'm very interested. I feel bad for the R1800. Epson did not give it a chance to take off. I've been to several stores in New York City looking for a sample but it seems no store wants to put one out.

I collected a 4800 today - replacing/upgrading from a 2100 - and will be keeping a blog at http://www.magicpixel.com.au/epson4800blog/
I'm mainly interested in improvements re black and white, bronzing and gamut. Will see soon enough!

Interesting - I didn't realize Epson were shipping them quite so early.

Great website by the way

Thanks Mark!

I guess with the printer it's one of the few benefits new product-wise of living in Australia - we're often way down the queue to receive new products and then only receive them one or two units at a time.
For whatever reason tho we seem to get a small jump on other countries when it comes to new Epson printers - it was the same the last time around with the 2100. Epson here have had stock since last week. Maybe this time around it's to do with the large tradeshows that have been on in the last week or two.
Anyways, my wife just arrived home - she can help me lift it out of the car and into the attic, while I somehow avoid telling her how much it costs!
"oh it's a big box dear but it is really very cheap!"
