FolioLink Press Release
Artists and Photographers Get Flashy Web Sites
FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 30 /PRNewswire/—FolioLink’s new FLASH movie web sites take advantage of the visual richness of FLASH technology while allowing search engines to index metadata and text content. This technological feat makes FolioLink the first service of its kind that can offer FLASH movie web sites with search engine visibility.
Lonna Tucker, professional photographer since 1978 and former Arizona Chapter President of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) collaborated with FolioLink on the development of its first FLASH movie template. Within the first three weeks of her new site launch she was listed on the first page of Google (TM) for the search term Golfscapes Photography. She also received sales requests from around the world. Her site can be visited at http://www.lonnatucker.com/ . “We solved the FLASH movie search engine riddle and now we can offer FLASH templates that are visible to Google and other crawler-based search engines. This is a terrific advance in technology for art-based web sites,” said Raul Jarquin, FolioLink developer.
FolioLink lends itself to individuals who demand ease of use, state-of- the-art presentation of their images, and proper search engine visibility. Users select from predefined web site templates in FLASH or HTML, and have the option to clone and modify templates for a one-of-a-kind look. Two account types allow users to pick the functionality and site features they want. Both accounts come with a year of hosting, contact list management and options to have a domain name, email account, ecommerce and more. The new FLASH movie templates are a standard feature of Premium accounts. Anyone can try the service with a free seven-day trial account.
FolioLink is a service of ISProductions, a Virginia-based technology company founded in 1987. ISProductions focuses on the development of Internet tools that are geared to help users capitalize on the business opportunities of the web.

I recently signed up for Foliolink. Having read their site and doing a trial, it was my understanding that certain features were not available in the trial and would be available in the Pro account. I paid for a pro account, then while setting up the site, discovered that the features were not available. My main issue was the inability to customize contact forms (they only have a standard guestbook registration which is really lame and not well positioned on most of their templates.). Anyway, I contacted the company to cancel within 12 days of registration and they have so far refused to refund any of my money, stating a 'no refunds' policy. Obviously, I am not pleased with their service or policy, which was not made clear upfront. Just a word of warning to others, the service is not very intuitive and the templates come with many compromises. Take a thorough look before purchasing.
