Fujifilm UK Press Release

FUJIFILM UK, Bedford. 4 September 2007: The FUJIFILM Professional network of E6 processing labs is proving invaluable to all photographers, be they professionals, enthusiasts or students, who value the definition and colour saturation uniquely achievable with reversal films.

While the imaging market continues to evolve and the uptake of the benefits of digital photography maintains its steady course, many serious photographers are retaining, or regaining, their appreciation of film photography in general, and reversal film in particular.

This is a situation which FUJIFILM has long recognised as likely to maintain for far longer than many of the industry pundits predicted in the early days of the development of alternatives to the traditional methods of image capture.

In view of the resurgence in use of reversal film, FUJIFILM has given extended support to its network of laboratories which include E6 processing among their services. This applies to labs servicing both professional and enthusiast photographers who appreciate the sharpness in focus and colour definition achievable with reversal film in general - and with FUJICHROME Provia and Velvia film in particular.

Any returning users of reversal film, as well as those now discovering its remarkable qualities for the first time, who may experience difficulty in finding a suitable processing lab need concern themselves no longer, for FUJIFILM is able to provide full details of local E6 processing laboratories to which photographers can take or send their film.

Photographers should simply email the FUJIFILM UK Imaging Support Services team: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) asking for details of their nearest E6 laboratory. Photographers can also contact the FUJIFILM UK Imaging Support Services team by telephone if email is not an option. The number to call is 01234 340 040.

Since when is slide film gaining popularity? This is news to me. I've been using slide film exclusively for the last 7 or 8 years, but I didn't know anyone else (still) is.

They probably mean gaining popularity in relation to a few years ago - since then quite a few pro photographers have switched back from digital to film.
