Gallery Member Spotlight - doyoulikeit
In a brand new series, we cast the spotlight on members of the PhotographyBLOG Gallery and ask them about their photography. The second member to sit in the interview chair is doyoulikeit.
“I’m always amazed at what I see in the streets and I like to try and capture those moments whenever possible. I find myself going out hunting for interesting people and the strange things that they do on the streets. “

Congratulations to DOYOULIKEIT? for being the second member under the spotlight. DOYOULIKEIT has been one of my favourites here since my registration, as his photographs are of a consistently good quality, as well as showing interesting and often difficult subjects, often based in Los Angeles, home of the unusual!
Best wishes for the future, and keep up the good work! Stewart.

I said it before, I'll say it again, "Genius !" If anyone has a natural eye for a subject, and the hunger to capture it, DOYOULIKEIT does!
He has my vote as the premier street photographer of our time. His versatility and variations in his pictures are unmatched!
Interesting that his motivation is not related to selling! I think that, maybe, alot of folks use money as a motivator to become a photographer, and that added stress may hold them back, or distract them from being more risk taking in their picture taking.
I'm suprised that a big company hasn't made DOYOLIKEIT an offer he can't refuse, If I was the President of Matsushita, DOYOULIKEIT would be on the payroll, for sure!
One more thing, the pictures we see here are very unique in that not many folks could have gotten alot of his pictures, it has something to do with being "street smart"
Thank you PhotographyBlog for spotlighting a real lengend in our time!

Excellent addition to the blog this spotlight on users am enjoying reading a bit more about the posters behind the photos i have enjoyed...thanks Mark.
DYLI.... i am surprised to hear you do not sell your work, then maybe not it is not always easy to sell with all the permission signitures on forms etc you need to get.. when working with people and that can be a real pain in the butt to creativity..i always enjoy your insight...

I did prefer the larger amount of information that Tootsie provided. I suppose it is up to DOYOULIKEIT though!

Awesome work! My comments in #2 ring true with award winning images, continually presented for us to enjoy. Shocking, yet beautifully presented, these reflections of a side of life that many turn their back on, go right to the core of the many faces of man, captured in a manner that only DYLI has the ability to do!
Talk about a picture having a thousand words! DYLI epitomizes that saying!
