Gun Camera Gives New Meaning to “Point & Shoot”
German university student Franziska Dierschke has come up with an idea for a digicam that looks like a toy gun. The Aimat, as it is called, has no viewfinder, LCD screen or anything that’s considered a basic “ingredient” of a digital camera, except a lens, a sensor and a shutter release. Apparently, the emphasis is not on image quality, perfect focus or exposure; but on the playful act of shooting a picture of someone who doesn’t quite know what’s going on. The Aimat digital camera was first displayed at Berlin’s DesignMai exhibition back in 2007, but disappeared under the radar for over two years, to recently resurface - still as a design concept only, rather than an actual product. We’ll keep you posted if/when it becomes commercially available.

Great idea if you want to get shot for mistakenly playing with what may appear to be a loaded weapon!
Next fruitcake idea?

Just had a look at the rifle camera. I can just imagine the results of walking down a London street with that one. A police sniper would take you out in minutes.

This would go over well in Los Angeles, where I live, or even better in Texas, where thank God I don't live). Some interesting footage on Youtube for sure.

Who remembers the old Zenit FS12 Fotosnaiper outfit?
Now there's a lethal looking camera. And being based on the good old Zenit it made a noise like throwing an AK47 lever from auto to single shot every time you took a photo. Try using one of those in central London these days.
For extra points you could do it while wearing a back pack and being "threateningly" tall.

I used this Gun Camera and It is your angle that makes them look slow. The muzzle velocities are all about 700m/s. You can just can't easily tell whether the round is 100 meters away or 400. The only thing easy to gauge is the vertical drop.
