Hasselblad has announced availability and pricing details for the Hasselblad Lunar compact system camera in the United Kingdom. The Lunar - which is essentially a more ergonomic, Hasselblad branded version of the Sony NEX-7 - was first announced at the Photokina trade show held last September in Cologne, Germany. In the UK, the Hasselblad Lunar will be available from Harrods, Selfridges, Richard Caplan London and the Peter Jones shop in Sloane Square, the latter of which will host a launch event on Wednesday 12th June. The camera, which is compatible with all Sony E mount lenses, comes bundled with an 18-55mm standard zoom. The kit is available for £5280.

The price is extortionate. For the same price you can get a Canon 1DX or Nikon D4 or Leica M9 or 10 Sony NEX7s.

In the current economic environment its like Marie-Antoinette saying "let them eat cake".

Its about that relevant to the average photographer!

Dear Mr.Alessandrini, you've ruined a lot of companies during your active business career. PLEEEEEASE, buy yourself a home at Fiji, fill it with Thai ladyboys and RETIRE already.

Oh wow, this is not my design, nor my price. Hasselblad should stick to the MF cams.
