Apple ApertureAre you using Apple Aperture, but feel that some aspects of the RAW conversion process are not quite right? Well, now you have have the opportunity to help make Aperture a better product by submitting problematic images to Apple, courtesy of PDNOnline.

“Apple approached PDN and asked us to provide the development team with sample images for comparison, so the Aperture programmers could improve raw performance. We asked Apple to include not just the in-house reviewers, but the PDN readership at large…Apple is inviting PDN readers to submit images to their development team for help tweaking the raw image conversion process.”

And how much do the photographers get for providing material so Apple can have quality materials for research? It's no different than any other raw product. I hope Apple is paying these customers. I tire of companies building products than requiring the users who paid for them to do their dirty testing and improvement work. MS Windows is the prime example but don't let Steve Job's jeans and black t-shirt fool you. Business is business and if they can get work or materials for cheap - or FREE - they'll do it.
