The Hoodman 3” Hoodloupe fits exactly over the 3” screen of most recent LiveView and video-enabled DSLR cameras, and provides glare-free viewing outdoors. It attaches to the camera via the Hoodman Cinema Strap, which keeps it securely in place. The Hoodloupe has a +/-3 dioptre compensation and focusses just like a binocular eyepiece - the eyepiece turns left or right to adjust for your eyesight. The price is £75.99 for the Hoodloupe and £18.99 for the Cinema Strap. Both are available from Newpro UK.

I have been using one of these for a few months now and it is brilliant. I am not using my camera (EOS 5D Mk2) for video but find this piece of kit so useful when shooting architectural interiors.

I absolutely love this product. I never leave home without it around my neck. I am an amateur sports photographer - exclusively covering high school baseball. I used to carry my glasses with me and would have to put them on to look at my shots (in between innings) and take a look inside the dugout (shaded area) to see if I should keep OR throw out my shots. With the Hoodman around my neck I don't have to waste time going to a shaded area nor do I have to carry my glasses with me. The Hoodman adjusts to your eyesight - just like binoculars. It is two products in one - I don't leave home without it. Highly Recommended.

Ignoring the rather rude 'blah' I can agree with the other comment about it getting in the way but it is still very useful indeed when shooting architectural interiors using live view.

This would probably be nice for one of the newer Micro 4/3rds, if it fits.
