Intelligent Imaging Solutions has released piccure, billed as "the first fully automated software tool to correct camera shake." As a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop (CS4 and above) and Photoshop Elements (version 7 or later), piccure automatically detects and corrects image blur resulting from involuntary camera movement. The software runs locally, on a standard computer, and users do not need to worry about their privacy: piccure does not upload any images into the cloud to be processed by some company’s servers, the developers say. The Photoshop plug-in is available for $99, while a simpler version designed for Elements (without multiprocessor support) can be purchased for $49.
Intelligent Imaging Solutions Press Release
Intelligent Imaging Solutions releases final version of “piccure” – an easy to use plugin to reduce camera shake in images
Tübingen, June 17th 2013 - Intelligent Imaging Solutions just announced the release of piccure – the first fully automated software tool to correct camera shake. As a plugin for Adobe® Photoshop® (CS4 and above) and Adobe® Photoshop® Elements (version 7 or later), it can be easily integrated into the workflow of photographers piccure was made available as a free beta test version in early May, prior to Adobe® MAX and the camera shake removal feature of Adobe® Photoshop® CC. It received extensive media coverage, and more than 20,000 photographers from all over the world downloaded and tested the plug-‐in. Feedback from hundreds of users was incorporated into the final release, further improving the tool.
piccure is a great tool both for photography enthusiasts who love the crispest details in their images (micro-‐shake reduction) as well as for photographers who want to salvage blurry shots. The software automatically detects and corrects involuntary camera movements.
The major advantage of piccure is that no special knowledge of deblurring methods is required when using the plug-‐in and its parameters are extremely easy to tune. Over the past two years, the developers at Intelligent Image Solutions have put great effort into the underlying math and the plug-‐in’s efficient implementation. This also means that the software runs locally, on a standard computer, and users do not need to worry about their privacy: piccure does not upload any images into the cloud to be processed by some company’s servers.
Windows 7 or later, Mac OS 10.6 or later, Adobe® Photoshop® CS 4 (or later) or Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 7 (or later), 2GB of free RAM, 1.7 GHz Dual Core or better.
We are now offering a 14 day free trial period of piccure. This can be followed by its purchase: USD 99 (Adobe® Photoshop®) and USD 49 (Adobe® Photoshop® Elements, with no multiprocessor support). For more information and for a free trial download, visit
