International Landscape Photographer of the Year is a new global competition purely for the showcase of landscape photography. Open to all photographers. the contest is aimed at finding the best 101 landscape images from the past 12 months and publishing them in a beautiful coffee table book which will be available in a variety of formats. The judges will also be on a search for the International Landscape Photographer of the Year (based on a folio submission of at least 4 images) and the International Landscape Photograph of the Year. Prizes on offer include $10,000 cash, trophies, limited-edition copies of the awards book and large framed prints of winning images. The contest closes on 30 May 2014.

New photography competition aims to showcase the best landscapes in the world

THE INTERNATIONAL LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2014
Sydney, Australia

Grand Master of Photography and former Australian Professional Photography Awards Chairman Peter Eastway is heading up a new global competition purely for the showcase of landscape photography.

The competition draws on the judging experience of 5 of the world’s best photographers; 

-David Burnett, co-founder Contact Press Images, USA 

-Tony Hewitt, 2013 Australian Professional Photographer of the Year, Australia 

-David Ward, Photographer and Author, UK 

-Jackie Ranken, 2012 New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year, New Zealand 

-Jim Goldstein, Fine Art Photographer and Author, USA

In choosing such a high calibre of judges, the competition aims to set the gold standard and become the best landscape photography competition in the world by attracting the most exceptional images being created globally, each year. 

The competition is open to all photographers with the aim of finding the best 101 landscape images from the past 12 months and publishing them in a beautiful coffee table book which will be available in a variety of formats, including a free e-book. 

The judges will also be on a search for the International Landscape Photographer of the Year (based on a folio submission of at least 4 images) and the International Landscape Photograph of the Year.

Each entry will be scored by all judges on the panel and receive a score out of 500. Prizes on offer include US$10,000 cash, trophies, limited edition copies of the awards book and large framed prints of winning images. 

There are also some special awards for a bit of fun and bragging rights, including; The Lone Tree Award, The Fuzzy Water Award, The Jetty Award, The Sunset Award, and the ‘HOT’ location award. The first ‘HOT’ location in 2014 is ICELAND! 

Entries for The International Landscape Photographer of the year 2014 are now open. 

Competition closes May 30th.
