The February 2006 Competition is now open for entries. This is a monthly photography competition with a specific theme and prizes for the top 5 photos. The winning entries will be decided by a panel of judges. You just have to submit one photograph to the Competition Gallery that best interprets February’s theme, which is “Shadows”.

THAT's the winner? That creepy-feeling marshmallow-looking bubble of a not very well composed shot of a scary little space-suit wearing baby?
Someone has no idea what photogrpahy is.
So sad. I can't imagine staring at the ghostly weird photo.

Well, they say that good photography evokes strong emotions.

I used to do contests, I learned a lesson or two, contests are for certain kinds of people, those that get a rush from exhibiting, those who are compelled to compete for money or prizes, and those that need to share what-ever they do, with others. I like to think that there are no "bad" photos, just that some are better than others. A perfect time to keep negative feelings to ourselves is when we view other's hard work in trying to create a special photo!
