JVC GC-PX1
The JVC GC-PX1 is a new digital camera that can shoot at 60 frames per second. Launching in Japan at the end of this month, the JVC PX1 has a 10x 38.5-385mm Konica Minolta lens, 10 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, a tilting, touchscreen 3 inch LCD, full 1080p HD video, over 6Gb of internal memory, ISO 6400 and full manual controls. Initial production is limited to 1,000 units per month, suggesting that the JVC GC-PX1 will, initially at least, only be available in Japan.

It's vaguely reminiscent of the Olympus C2100 UZ, with a nearly identical 10X zoom.

Are they just trying to re-invent the wheel?

But hey y'all, this one does 1080p60, AND 10MP stills, as well as having 32GB internal.
Remember how only 4 years ago people were wondering what would happen to the convergence of stills and video in digital? It's full steam ahead now, isn't it?
I can't wait for the next step, of going to 4K-HD, where we can shoot video so crisp and clear and fast, that we can extract stills from video that will look just as good as if you were to shoot normal stills.

Looks more like a traditional Sony. I'm not a fan with the lenses on JVC's, the focus is so slow.

Absolutely awsome. Used one at Focus on imaging photography show and, although it isnt coming out in this countyr for a while, the quality is fantastic, the way you hold it is amazing. Can't wait for it to come out!

I bought one today however struggling to find an manual in English online.
I read somewhere that only 1000 per month were scheduled for production and sold only in Japan.
If anyone knows where I can get a manual in English it would be much appreciated
thanks
