Mark Goldstein | Digital SLR Cameras | June 1, 2005 | 1 Comments

Kodak DCS Pro SLR/nDPReview are reporting that Kodak have announced that their 14 megapixel Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n and SLR/c digital SLR cameras are discontinued with immediate effect. Existing owners will continue to be supported until 2008.

“In our conversation with Kodak Pro we were assured that existing owners will continue to be supported through 2008 and that this will include firmware and Photodesk updates if required. Kodak will continue to develop CCD and CMOS image sensors and this announcement does not affect their consumer digital cameras.”

raspberry Sad to see Kodak discontinue their DSLR's. I can give up saving to buy a half-decent full frame Nikon lens compatable camera, perhaps another manufacturer will have a go - Nikon don't seem to have the balls to have a go. How about a digital full frame FM3a for us photogs who can still work out our own exposures and have enough strength to focus our own lenses!! What's more, come on Leica, where's a full frame M7 without the silly screen. Most experienced photogs can tell whether they have the shot, and it cuts the cost.
