Kodak has introduced the twelve-megapixel Kodak EasyShare M381 digital compact camera with a 35-175mm equivalent zoom lens and HD video capture. The Kodak M381 also features a 3” LCD screen, face detection, “blur reduction technology” - which appears not to mean optical image stabilisation -, and easy upload to Facebook, YouTube and the Kodak Gallery. The Kodak EasyShare M391 will become available from September for £129.99.

WOW!! Awsome camera!! What is best though, I can't decide.. the new Nikon COOLPIX camera or this one?

It is an awesome camera, photos are excellent, even the videos are impressive for a multipurpose camera, but you better treat it like glass, because it's just as fragile.

What's more, if you drop it (like I did), it's no longer under warranty (understandable), and it can't be fixed by a licensed Kodak dealer. Kodak will recommend you to trade in this higher quality camera for a refurbished camera that's isn't as "high quality".

The dealer we went to said that since we have kids, we should consider A cannon, since they ALL can be fixed rather cheaply.

I decided to wait until the refurbished models are out and by one of those. A glutton for punishment? Maybe, but then again, the quality of the pics and videos are worth it. I'll just be more careful this time - and buy an extended accidental replacement warranty. :D

This is a very easy to use compact camera. Good photo quaility. I also really like the the AC battery charger, allows me to keep the camera charged while traveling. With memory card holds over 1,000 photos!
